For FS Engineering, as a core member of the FS Group, sustainability serves as a fundamental pillar of our operational and corporate model.

The integration of ESG principles into our business activities involves a rigorous process of analysis and assessment. This framework enables us to identify risks, opportunities, and impacts across the entire value chain, including our supply chain.

These efforts are complemented by robust reporting and monitoring tools, which are essential for ensuring absolute consistency between our corporate strategy, objectives, and performance, while driving continuous and verifiable improvement.

MATERIALITY ANALYSIS

FS Engineering applies the principle of dual materiality, beginning with a contextual analysis that fully considers our stakeholders and their priority issues. This preliminary phase enables us to evaluate both the impact of the company’s activities on the environment and society (impact materiality), and the business risks and opportunities arising from ESG factors (financial materiality). This dual perspective facilitates advanced strategic management of our material issues.

SUPPLY CHAIN ASSESMENT

In line with our Business Plan objectives, the Group’s Sustainability Policy, and European Directives, FS Engineering actively fosters supplier commitment by engaging the entire supply chain.

All economic operators wishing to participate in tenders issued by FS Engineering are invited to complete a sustainability questionnaire. This assessment tool is hosted on a dedicated online platform accessible at https://esgrating.gruppofs.it/

Further information regarding the evaluation methodology and platform access can be found via the ESG Rating link.

INTEGRATED REPORT

From 2024, FS Engineering has adopted an integrated reporting system as part of the FS Italiane Group’s consolidated accounts. This framework complies fully with European Directive 2022/2464/EU (CSRD) and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).

This unified model enables the simultaneous monitoring of financial performance and ESG outcomes.

EUROPEAN TAXONOMY

FS Engineering evaluates the sustainability of its economic activities by benchmarking its infrastructure projects against the six environmental objectives defined by the European Taxonomy (EU Regulation 2020/852).
