SHAPING THE RULES OF THE INDUSTRY

A definitive example of FS Engineering’s industry leadership is our coordination of the working group behind the publication of UNI 11337 Part 12: Building and civil engineering works – Digital management of construction information processes. This represents a monumental milestone for the entire sector, establishing the first structured framework for digital information workflows, precise roles, and core responsibilities tailored specifically to complex infrastructure. Developed for the entire supply chain—including clients, design engineers, engineering firms, and contractors—this standard governs data management across the complete asset lifecycle, from initial design through to operation and management.

Building on this success, the FS Engineering-led working group is currently pioneering the sector's next major evolution: developing a dedicated standard for the Digital Twin applied to infrastructure. This forward-thinking initiative leverages our extensive, real-world engineering pedigree to equip the industry with the advanced digital tools required to master increasingly complex infrastructure challenges.
