THEORETICAL & EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES ON HIGH-SPEED RAIL LINES

At FS Engineering, we conduct theoretical and experimental research on high-speed rail lines utilizing field instrumentation, wind tunnel testing, and three-dimensional Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling. These studies quantify fluid-dynamic excitation and the response of line-side structures during train transits, identifying critical aerodynamic interaction between rolling stock and acoustic/safety barriers that must be accounted for during the structural design phase.

These analyses evaluate aerodynamic phenomena in confined rail environments, including pressure wave effects on tunnel doors, line-side systems, and signage, alongside passenger safety and comfort metrics on underground platforms. Additionally, the framework models crosswind aerodynamic stability on rolling stock operating within high-velocity wind zones.
