TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO THE ETHIOPIAN RAIL CORPORATION

Supporting one of the fastest-growing countries in the transport sector

The Ethiopian Railway Corporation (ERC) commissioned FS Engineering to provide technical advisory services and assistance for the development of specialist expertise, to underpin the growth and development of the national railway system.

The engagement focused in particular on project management, strategic planning, support for finance functions, the development and updating of sector-specific regulations, as well as the management of contracts relating to the LRT network.

The company also provided technical support for ERC Corporate Development through a shadow management arrangement, aimed at training and mentoring Ethiopian staff involved in the management of the Addis Ababa Light Rail Transit (AA LRT) line, thereby helping to strengthen the organisation’s operational and organisational capabilities.

The contract was successfully completed, thereby consolidating FS Engineering’s role as a key partner in the institutional and technical development of railway systems in rapidly evolving international contexts.
