FS Engineering supports the development of South African rail logistics

FS Engineering was appointed by FS Italiane Group to support the Operation & Maintenance activities of the new Tambo Springs Intermodal Centre, located near Johannesburg, by providing specialist expertise, technical know-how, advanced technologies and management systems, as well as design-related contributions.

The Tambo Springs intermodal terminal represents a strategic facility for the country’s logistics infrastructure and will enable a significant increase in rail freight volumes, facilitating the creation of new capacity and the optimisation of the use of existing rail infrastructure. The project contributes to the development of more efficient and sustainable logistics, strengthening the role of rail transport within the economic and industrial landscape of South Africa.
