EASTERN DEDICATED FREIGHT CORRIDOR
As part of the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor megaproject—which involves the construction of 1,873 km of new rail freight infrastructure between Ludhiana and Dankuni—FS Engineering acted as the Quality and Safety Audit Consultant (QSAC) for one of the corridor's most strategic sections.
The Company, operating as the lead partner in a consortium with local engineering firm VCC, successfully completed the commission awarded in 2017. The scope of services encompassed independent auditing, technical assurance, and progress reporting for the quality of civil engineering works and systems installations, alongside monitoring the implementation of construction safety health and environment (CSHE) provisions and site safety plans throughout the construction phase.
The assignment specifically focused on the Khurja–Dadri section, which traverses the districts of Bulandshahr and Gautam Buddha Nagar in the state of Uttar Pradesh, representing one of the most critical operational segments of the Eastern Freight Corridor.
The project works carried out were instrumental in ensuring strict compliance with the rigorous quality, safety, and asset reliability standards required for one of India’s premier freight rail networks, reinforcing FS Engineering’s position as a key partner in nationally significant rail infrastructure programs internationally.
