DELHI-GHAZIABAD-MEERUT REGIONAL RAPID TRANSIT SYSTEM

Since 2019, FS Engineering, in a consortium with Spanish engineering firm Ayesa (acting as consortium leader), has held the General Consultancy (GC) contract for the Delhi–Ghaziabad–Meerut corridor of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS).

The RRTS initiative involves the delivery of a comprehensive network comprising eight rapid transit corridors, designed to provide an advanced, integrated multi-modal transport network. The scheme aims to significantly enhance public rail transport efficiency and regional connectivity between the National Capital Region (NCR) and the neighbouring districts within the states of Rajasthan, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.

In this context, the overarching RRTS programme extends for over 500 km across the NCR, radiating outwards from central Delhi.

The original contract completion date for the services within FS Engineering’s remit was set for May 2024; following a formal Extension of Time (EoT), these works have been extended until March 2027.

Client: NCRTC (National Capital Region Transport Corporation Ltd), a joint venture enterprise between the Government of India and the state governments of Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi.
