The highest value contract in India
The Italferr's most important order in India, thanks to which the Company is confirmed as a leader not only in the High-Speed sector but also in the international metropolitan public transport scenario, becoming one of the main players in the Indian engineering market.
In 2020, FS Engineering, in a consortium with Spanish engineering firm Typsa (acting as consortium leader), was awarded the General Consultancy (GC) contract for the Kanpur and Agra metro systems, serving two of the largest industrial cities in northern India. The megaproject encompasses the construction of four metro lines spanning a total of 62.6 km across both urban networks, including 57 stations and four maintenance depots.
KANPUR METRO
Total length: 32.4 km
The new Kanpur metro network comprises two primary corridors with a total route length of approximately 32 km, featuring 30 stations and two maintenance depots. On 28 December 2021, the 8.98 km priority section of Corridor 1 was formally commissioned and opened to public service. To date, a total of 14 stations have been brought into operational service.

AGRA METRO
Total length: 30.2 km
The Agra Metro network comprises two primary corridors with a total route length of approximately 30 km, featuring 27 stations and two maintenance depots. To date, six stations have been brought into operational service, following the formal commissioning and opening of the 5.20 km priority section of Corridor 1 on 6 March 2024.
