Sergeli and Yunusabad Lines
The Tashkent Metro is Central Asia’s first mass transit system and serves as a strategically vital piece of infrastructure for urban mobility across the Uzbek capital.
On behalf of Tashkent Metro/UTY, FS Engineering provided Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services encompassing the design, construction supervision, and testing and commissioning of the Sergeli line, alongside the extension of the existing Yunusabad line.
The Sergeli line spans 7.1 km, featuring six stations configured entirely at ground level. The extension of the existing Yunusabad line covers a 3 km alignment running predominantly subsurface, adding two new stations to the network.
The overarching Tashkent metro network comprises three primary lines spanning a total route length of 36 km and connecting 29 stations. The asset is internationally celebrated for the sophisticated architectural design of its stations, which seamlessly fuse traditional Eastern aesthetics with high technical and functional standards.
