RUMA-SABAC-DONJA BORINA JUNCTION - STATE BORDER RAILWAY LINE
A new connection corridor between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina
The Republic of Serbia has received funding from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the French Development Agency (AFD) for the reconstruction and modernization of the Ruma-Sabac-Donja Borina Junction-State Border railway line. The railway line, a single-track, non-electrified regional route, has a total length of approximately 110 km and connects rail corridors in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Under its current conditions, the line does not meet modern transport requirements, making its reconstruction and modernization necessary. FS Engineering, in joint venture with PBU (Lead Partner) and UTIBER, received the notice of award in February 2026. The contract was subsequently signed, and project activities officially commenced on 6 April 2026.
