FS Engineering CEO and General Manager, Dario Lo Bosco, took part in “L'Italia che abiteremo”, an event promoted by Remind that provided an important opportunity for discussion among institutions, companies, professionals and stakeholders on the key issues shaping the future of communities and the country’s sustainable growth.
During the event, FS Engineering’s role as an Italian engineering excellence recognized worldwide was reaffirmed, highlighting the company’s daily commitment to developing infrastructure that is increasingly safe, sustainable and resilient.
“Through innovation, smart systems and advanced digital construction site management, we contribute to improving safety, with a concrete commitment to the goal of ‘zero fatalities at work’, which lies at the heart of the FS Group’s strongest commitment, together with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and the Italian Government,” emphasized Prof. Lo Bosco.
This commitment is reflected in the deployment of highly specialized multidisciplinary expertise, process digitalization, the use of advanced BIM platforms up to the 8D level, proprietary patents, exclusive high-tech equipment and advanced drones to deliver integrated services throughout the entire lifecycle of infrastructure and major public works.
At the core of the company’s vision remains the value of people. More than 3,400 professionals work every day across FS Engineering’s Italian and international offices, placing their expertise, passion and sense of responsibility at the service of the community.
“[…] a human capital that represents our primary distinguishing asset and that translates every day into innovation, responsibility and the ability to connect communities safely and effectively,” underlined Prof. Lo Bosco.
For this reason, talent development and the enhancement of human capital represent a strategic lever in supporting the company’s design quality and delivery excellence. This is further strengthened through innovative tools such as the new advanced digital control room, which enables real-time monitoring of project progress, TBM excavation fronts, environmental impacts and construction processes, supporting risk prevention, critical issue management—also with the contribution of ANSFISA—and increasingly effective construction site governance.
By integrating Project Management, BIM from 3D to 8D, predictive systems and Artificial Intelligence, the company is working to reduce design changes, delays and cost overruns, helping deliver infrastructure that is safer, more sustainable and more resilient.
Looking ahead, Lo Bosco’s message was clear:
“Technological innovation, expertise and collaboration between the public and private sectors are the most effective tools for building the future we want to leave to new generations, while further strengthening the role of Italian engineering worldwide.”
Within this framework, FS Engineering, as a centre of digital and high-tech excellence, continues to promote technological development, create opportunities and bring the very best of Italian engineering and the outstanding professionalism of the women and men of the FS Group to the world stage.
