Infrastructure, Biodiversity, Synergies, Connections: The Challenges of Sustainable Design

A seminar promoted by FS Engineering to explore approaches, tools, and best practices aligned with European agendas

Rome, 5 October 2026

FS Engineering, together with the Order of Engineers of the Province of Rome and the Order of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservators (PPC) of the Province of Rome, and under the patronage of AIS – Associazione Infrastrutture Sostenibili (Italian Association for Sustainable Infrastructure), is organising a seminar entitled: “Infrastructure, Biodiversity, Synergies, Connections. Integrating Biodiversity into the Sustainable Design of Infrastructure in Line with European Agendas”. The seminar will take place on 14 October 2026 in Rome and online.

The event will provide a day of discussion and knowledge sharing focused on best practices, bringing together speakers from academia and the research community in dialogue with experts and professionals from the infrastructure sector. The seminar will be delivered in a hybrid format. Speakers will attend in person at FS Engineering’s headquarters in Rome, while participants will be able to follow and actively engage in the event online through the platforms provided by the Order of Architects and the Order of Engineers of the Province of Rome. Registration, which must be completed exclusively through the channels of the above-mentioned professional bodies, will enable registered professionals to obtain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits.

Linked to the EU Rail Symbiosis Project, of which FS Engineering is the Italian partner, the event forms part of the communication and dissemination activities carried out by FS Engineering to contribute to the biodiversity and ecosystem protection and enhancement goals pursued by the Gruppo FS.
