The National Research Centre for High-Performance Computing, Big Data and Quantum Computing, established and managed by the ICSC Foundation, is one of five National Centres launched under Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), coordinated by the Ministry of Universities and Research (MUR) and funded by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU programme.

Within this ecosystem, FS Engineering participated as lead partner in the ARCADiT project, delivered in collaboration with the University of Pisa. The project focused on developing and executing algorithms to segment point clouds captured via surveys, aimed at the recognition and classification of infrastructure assets to support the creation of Digital Twins in the railway sector.

The ARCADiT project was launched in November 2024 and concluded in 2025.
