HYPER TRANSFER
Design and development of an ultra-high-speed, guideway-based transport system for passengers and freight, designed to operate in a low-friction environment with controlled aerodynamic drag, using magnetically levitated capsules travelling through a depressurised tube at speeds of up to 1,200 km/h. Designed as a fully sustainable and energy-efficient transport mode, it will undergo field trials in Veneto, under a memorandum of understanding signed by the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Veneto Region and Concessioni Autostradali Venete. FS Engineering has played a strategic role as a system integrator, supporting and supervising the development of the feasibility study and contributing to the definition of a safe, scalable, and production-ready system, as well as coordinating the various stakeholders involved.
SOIL CONTAMINATION MONITORING
The project aims to analyse areas suspected of ground contamination as early as the design stage by acquiring aerial imagery using drones operating across different spectral bands (multispectral, thermal, LIDAR and visible). Any areas flagged as potentially contaminated will be further investigated using sampling to calibrate the aerial datasets.
INAIL
The project stems from a collaboration between INAIL (Workplace Accident Prevention Agency) and the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group, dedicated to preventing workplace accidents and occupational diseases. The MoU provides for the development of innovative and technology-led solutions to enhance workplace health & safety. This collaboration aims to consolidate and expand the measures already embedded across the FS Group, reinforcing our commitment to protect employee health and safety.
IRIDE SERVICE SEGMENT
The IRIDE constellation stands as one of Europe’s flagship satellite-based Earth Observation programmes. It will be implemented by the Italian Government using funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), and completed by 2026, under the management of the European Space Agency (ESA) and with the support of the Italian Space Agency (ASI). FS Engineering participates as a designated ‘pilot user’ within the programme’s Service Segment, involved in testing, validating, and designing the downstream geospatial services to be provided once the constellation is fully in orbit.
